The assignment aims to consistent monitoring and evaluation of the electric power potential reserves of the Slovak rivers by transformation of data from the hydro-electric power stations and small hydro-electric power stations into a database form permitting fast updates, operational data retrieval, and summary evaluation and analysis of larger units. In the 1996-97 period a basic table format was established comprising all data on monitored profiles, and the hydro power potential database was subsequently supplemented by available data from the respective partial river basins.
In 1998 the database format was revised in compliance with the new SR administrative territories. The missing data were added and relevance of construction projects and further preparation of profiles for the small hydro-electric power stations was reviewed, where building permit or zoning and planning decision were issued.
The small hydro-electric power stations and hydro-electric power stations database was then verified and supplemented based on the new Stage II Water Management Plans, and new profiles were added for the proposed small hydro-electric power stations with installed output up to 60kW, in co-operation with the power industry.
