Already in the introduction to his comments on the Grander® Technology, Dr. Erich Eder alleges: “Now the issue has been taken to court.” This formulation shall apparently suggest that there are legal proceedings against Grander. In fact, there are proceeding running under the file number 34 Cg 106/03 z – but not against Grander, but actually against Eder for vile, totally unscientific slur on Grander’s reputation! It is left to the reader’s judgment, whether Eder’s introduction may pass as an admissible statement of a man, who boasts of his scientific correctness, or whether it is gross manipulation. In any case, such spins are part of Eder’s strategy. In an article in “Die Presse”, he wrote that he was being sued for his “scientific criticism”.
After examining the facts, the paper immediately corrected this bogus assertion. Back to the api article. Calling Grander a “guru” already in the first sentence is not only a matter of good taste, but again an attempt to influence the reader in an unobjective way. Furthermore, Eder doubts the involvement of Juri Rachmanin and Vladimir Kontratow – two members of the Russian Academy of Sciences – in the Grander® Technology.
Doubts are of course always admissible. But Rachmanin was not only responsible for the water supply of the Russian cosmonauts; he is also Vice President of the Academy (to which several Nobel Prize winners belong) and member of the WHO expert group for drinking water.
A brief telephone call would not only have sufficed to get the zoologist Eder into touch with the two experts, but would also have provided him with the information that the Graz University of Technology (TU) is presently adapting the translation of their papers to German terminology.
Eder finally refers to Klaus Faißner’s thesis. In this connection, the Graz TU and two physicists of the Max Planck Institute in Golm disagree on the cause of the change in the surface tension of “vitalised” water measured by Faißner. It might be admissible that Eder sides in this open dispute with the position of the Max Planck Institute, which suits him better, but it is not a sign of his intellectual integrity that he ignores the most important and undisputed part of the thesis.
Faißner’s thesis centres on the measuring results of those industrial companies which stated the efficiency of the Grander ® Technology by a reduction of their use of chemicals and by the resultant financial effects. It is the calculator that counts in the industry, and this is the only explanation why industries both in Europe and overseas are becoming the predominant user of the Grander® Technology.
The outdated expert opinion by the “Bundesanstalt für Wassergüte” (Institute for Water Quality) from 1993 has no relevance for the present use of the Grander® Technology. As to the proceedings in Munich, this was a provisional injunction – a formal act, which has no explanatory power on the quality of the technology.
As to foodstuffs (with water being our most important one), it is not allowed to make statements referring to a healing success, not even if their truthfulness is clearly proven. As a matter of course, Grander users, among them many physicians, stand by their experiences unrestrictedly. This has also been shown by a study prepared by an Austrian appraiser, who again was chosen by the Consumer Information Association (VKI). Of course, Eder does not mention this study...
Doctor Eder is at liberty to invest an enormous amount of energy and considerable funds (a lawsuit expertise costs more than € 3,500) to fight against Grander in all possible and impossible magazines. However, he has not made the important step yet that every respectable critic has to provide for, i.e. to get in contact with the sales department of Grander® Technology to get firsthand information and to avoid possible misinterpretations right from the start!
In contrast to earlier publications, Eder conceals this time that he is member or even the Austrian representative of the “Society for the Investigation of Para-Sciences”. The founding members of this association had absolutely honourable objectives, i.e. to scientifically investigate intangible phenomena in a fair and objective way.
Meanwhile, the founding members have left, because the original purpose of the society is being abused in their opinion. Since some of them have revealed that the society now aims to fight against dissidents with nonscientific means like defamation and campaigns, and have even considered imposing a publishing ban on members avowing themselves members of religious communities, because they are stricken with “superstition”, it might not be all too useful showing allegiance to the society, even if one can totally agree with the present objectives (www.skeptizismus.de/ syndrom.html).
Dr. Eder teaches at the Vienna University and he obviously uses the university website for his campaign against the Grander® Technology. The “Grander side” is willing anytime to provide information in case of serious interest!
