| The prize shall be given to honour novel ideas, concepts and research results for extracting energy from wastewater and utilising some of its components (nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium). Also other closed-loop concepts, such as technologies for wastewater recovery, will be recognised. The contest awards students and doctoral student researchers. The first prize is € 10,000, second- and third-prize winners receive € 5,000 and € 2,500, respectively. Winners will be presented to the expert audience during the IFAT 2008 opening ceremony.
