It includes minimum requirements for plants and equipment used for disinfection and oxidation of drinking water, swimming-pool water, sanitary water and waste water by dissolved chlorine compounds. Among others, detailed description is given of the different methods with concentrate and preparation dosage or dried material dosage with one or more seeding places for the chlorine solution; in addition, some design examples are presented.
Furthermore, this Austrian Standard includes important instructions for dimensioning and installation of chlorination plants as well as for handling of the chemicals used. It is specially pointed out that these plants can only be operated by persons who are prova-bly trained for handling with the chlorine compounds used.
