aqua press: In recent decades, Saubermacher has earned itself a reputation as waste disposal service provider for municipalities and companies in Austria and South East Europe. Since the company also takes charge of sewage sludge disposal and treatment, it was a logical step to offer (waste)water-related services as well. This service range was not publicly promoted until recently. Last year, however, a separate branch – Saubermacher AQUA SERVICES – was established. What is this “branch”, what were the reasons for going public, and what services are being provided? Bartelme: Instead of “branch” we could simply say “business”. What we want to express, though, is that our water division took its start from the branch office in Wildon, where collaboration with our first customer – Abwasserverband Grazerfeld – was initiated; this branch is therefore not fully independent but to a certain extent associated with Saubermacher. The fact that we have now created a separate brand stems from the encouraging development of our water division, which also makes it necessary to explore special marketing and distribution channels.
Saubermacher AQUA SERVICES operates two main areas: On one hand, we are a provider of sewage sludge disposal and recovery services, where we offer thermal recovery as well as recycling of this final product resulting from wastewater treatment. In the field of sewage sludge incineration, our company closely cooperates with VERBUND (Mellach) and other industrial enterprises. On the other hand, we offer local authorities, associations and companies also services related to measuring technologies, TV inspection, leak detection, sewer cleaning and sewer rehabilitation. Water, wastewater and soil analyses are performed at the Saubermacher laboratory in Trofaiach, which also caters to our other sectors.
