 Drahovce - Madunice Water Project
The Drahovce – Madunice water project is a multipurpose project situated on the lower reaches of the Vah River between the towns of Piestany and Hlohovec on the river kilometers 119.200 – 101.200. The project starts with the Drahovce (Sĺnava) Reservoir located near the lower end of a waste water canal from the Horna Streda hydroelectric power plant and ends in the place where a waste water canal from the Madunice hydroelectric power plant emplies into the Vah just above the town of Hlohovec, at the upper limit of the planned Sereď water project.   [more...]

 Janov Water Project - History and Presence
The Janov valley water reservoir, known also as the Hamr water project, lies in the Most District and currently is administered by the Ohre Basin Authority. The reservoir was built between 1911 and 1914. With a depth of 41.5 m, it is one of the so-called deep stratified reservoirs.
