Conservation of Water Resources of Ecosystems
Freshwater resources are the basic component of the hydrosphere and an irreplaceable part of all land ecosystems. They are subject to hydrologic cycles, including floods a dry periods, which have in certain regions ever more extreme course and more dramatic consequences. They are affected also by the global change of climate and air pollution, resulting in higher level of seas which impairs the shore ecosystems.  [more...]

System of water works on river Slatina in Zvolen - Part 1
At the outskirts of the town of Zvolen, a system of Motova-Slatinka water works has been developed on the river Slatina, comprising two adjacent cascades.
