BUCHAREST, Romania, July 11, 2003 (ENS) - The U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) has awarded a $78,000 grant to the National Institute of Hydrology and Water Management in Romania.  Dams accused of role in flooding
A research commissioned by WWF, the conservation organization, on 21st June, 2001, has warned that dams built with the promise of reducing flooding can often exacerbate the problem with catastrophic consequences, as some recent floods have shown.
