It also coordinates and protects the interests of protection and creation of the environment in the administered region. In cooperation with plants and other organizational units of the directorate of the Branch Offices, it deals with complex development of all functions of the river, water works and facilities in rivers.
In cooperation with all units of the enterprise, it cooperates in preparation and specification of hydroecologic and water management plans, the state water management balance, and keeps the basic water management records of consents, opinions, and statements of the enterprise and the District Environmental Offices.
It performs activities in accordance with the regulations in respect of technical standards, discoveries, inventions, innovations, and industrial designs.
It acts as a supervisor in modelling of river basins.
It prepares expert opinions and cooperates with manufacturing organisations, firms, and research institutes.
