Now both ministers responsible for water management of the neighbouring countries met on the 10. festive meeting of the Hungarian-Croatian Water Management Comity. One of the topic of the negotiation was the case of the Novo Virje power plant. The Croatian minister stated that the Croatian partner would not act one-sided concerning the building of the power plant. The Hungarian minister confirmed the Hungarian standpoint that Hungary insists of saving one of the last unhurt pieces of nature in Europe.
The Croatian minister pronounced that a feasibility study is under work, according to the Espoo-Agreement concerning the environmental effects of the power plant planned. He hoped that both parties would agree on a decision that would meet the common interest of both nations.
